What is Dua?
Dua is The Host’s AI virtual assistant (chatbot) that answers short-term rental guests on WhatsApp 24/7, in Albanian and English, using only the information the owner provides.
Who is The Host for?
Owners and managers of apartments, villas and rooms rented short-term on Airbnb and Booking in Albania, with one or many properties.
What does Dua answer?
Check-in and check-out, Wi-Fi, address and access instructions, parking, house rules, appliances, transport and nearby places, based on the property data.
What happens when Dua does not know?
Dua does not guess. It tells the guest it will confirm, asks you on WhatsApp, relays your answer and saves it for next time.
Does Dua give the door code to anyone?
No. The door code goes only to a guest with a verified booking; you can also require your approval before it is sent.
Which languages does Dua speak?
Albanian and English. It replies in the guest’s language; other languages get an English reply.
Does it work with Airbnb and Booking?
Yes, through the Airbnb and Booking iCal calendar, so it knows who arrives and when. The Host does not write in platform messages; guests find Dua via the QR code in the apartment or the WhatsApp number.
Does it help with e-Albania reporting?
Dua prepares the guest list from bookings (name, nationality, dates) for reporting. The owner makes the final submission on e-Albania.
Signup and free trial
How do I sign up?
At thehost.al/regjistrohu create an account, choose a plan and fill in the property questionnaire. The account is active immediately.
When is Dua ready?
The day after signup, once it has been prepared with your property data. You can see the status in the dashboard.
Do I need a card for the free trial?
No. The free trial lasts 14 days and needs no card. A card is linked only if you decide to continue.
How much does it cost after the trial?
Final pricing will be published soon. You are never charged without agreeing first.
How do I cancel?
Without a card the account simply pauses at the end of the trial. You can close the account at any time from dashboard Settings.
Data and security
Where is data stored?
With the infrastructure providers Vercel, Neon and Upstash; messages are processed by Google Gemini and delivered via WhatsApp (Meta). The full list is in the Privacy policy.
Who controls guest data?
The owner is the controller and The Host the processor, under the Data processing agreement (DPA), in line with Albanian Law 124/2024 and the GDPR.
